'World Ends Here', Live Simulation, Painted Mural, 2024 @ KARST Gallery
Using avatar, architectural and ecological models & textures created by Active Worlds users in the early 2000s this artwork simulates busier times within the progenitor metaverse platform. Navigating across a custom built island a collection of avatars adorned with the usernames of prolific community members encounter and bypassing one another based on scripted wayfinding routines. Their infinite wandering stands in contrast to the ever adaptive internet cultures.
